Three generations of women from the same family from Kazakhstan are going to Poland to visit the grave of their great-grandfather, father and grandfather, who was killed in World War II. Each of them is looking for themselves, their roots and self-identification in multinational Kazakhstan and the world. Along the way, grandmother, daughter and granddaughter will visit a house that no longer belongs to them (Kazan, Tatarstan), the country where all three were born, but which no longer exists (USSR) and together they will find the grave of the man who binds all three.
